SolarSpec Product Safety Warning - ISO MAX Isolators

SolarSpec has advised of a recall of ISO-MAX Isolators by Eltech Industries. Eltech Industries has released the following important notice regarding ISO-MAX Isolators.

Further to the release of our Product Bulletin yesterday, there has been another unexplained incidence of an Isolator failure on a Solar installation.

In this incidence, the damage spread beyond the switch enclosure.

As a result, we are recommending to you our Customer, that all installations incorporating the ISO-MAX Isolator, should be switched off forthwith, until the installation can be inspected, the problem identified and a solution put in place. We would ask you to please convey this Notice to all your customers who have been supplied these Isolators.

Part numbers affected are:  LS16 DCISO 1000V,  LS25 DCISO 1000V,  LS32 DCISO 1000V

We regret this action and the resulting inconvenience, and assure you we have not taken this decision lightly. We will be in touch with you again as soon as we have a course of action in place.
