Bright Sparks Acknowledged at Scholarship Awards 2016

Industry training worth $90,000 has been awarded to twelve worthy recipients at the Middy’s Scholarship 2016 Awards Function held on Friday 11th November at the Garden State Hotel in Melbourne. The winners and their partners celebrated in style with canapés and drinks alongside Middy’s directors and staff.…

The Scholarship Program awarded six Gold Packages, each worth $10,000 and six Silver Packages, each worth $5,000. These Scholarship Packages allow recipients to undertake tailored training in 2017 from a range of courses incorporating subjects such as Energy Efficiency, Project Management, Estimating and OH&S, among many other business-related topics. Further training will enable these progressive industry professionals to upgrade their job skills, enhance their project management skills and improve their business knowledge.

Thank you to our industry judges: Rod Lovett (NECA), Keith Van der Zyden (Energy Safe Victoria), Jeff Patchell (Connection Magazines) and John Clarke (NECA Education & Careers) who were seeking forward thinking electricians who see challenges and new technologies as opportunities rather than obstacles.

Congratulations to our 12 successful winners. We look forward to hearing about the great opportunities that will arise from this extensive program.
