Sales Rep of the Year Award

On the 20th February, Middy’s Annual ‘Sales Representative of the Year Awards’ were held at the picturesque Glen Erin Vineyard in Lancefield, for the 5th consecutive year. The occasion brought together our sales representatives from across the country to collectively celebrate the team’s efforts, as well as the outstanding individual performances.

Former Paralympic medallist, Don Elgin, was the special guest speaker on the night. He connected really well with the audience with his down to earth approach about how to get the most out of life.

The evening commenced with a presentation from National Sales Manager, Mark Carrington, who spoke of the tremendous pride he felt in what was as very productive year.

Following this, the Commendation recipients and award winners were announced. Craig Pyne from Mekolec, Jason Ryan from Middy’s Ballarat / Ballarat West branches and David Bentley from Middy’s Thomastown were all recognised for their achievements for the year.

For the first time in the history of the Sales Representative of the Year Awards, Mark Carrington announced that this year there would be joint winners. First to be announced was Riverina Sales Representative, Mat Harrington, who was met with strong applause from the crowd. Mat did an incredible job in his region, in particular with his contribution to the newly opened Wagga Wagga branch last year.

National TechEnergy Manager, Darren Bowler, was called up to the stage to announce the second recipient. This signalled a large hint that a winner would be a TechEnergy Rep, and right they were as Leigh Stacey was announced to another burst of applause from the room. Darren spoke highly of Leigh and it was evident that he had tremendous appreciation for Leigh’s efforts during the year.

Both men were presented with the famous Middy’s pink jackets and each spoke of the honour they felt to be recognised amongst their peers.

With official proceedings concluded, everyone was able to relax a little more and enjoy the remainder of the night.
