Ware Solutions was established in 1991 in Moonee Ponds and has grown from a two person operation to a dynamic and professional team based in East Keilor. Owner and Managing Director, Craig Ware, attributes the success of the company to the team’s exceptional knowledge of the electrical industry, combined with excellent customer service standards using high quality products.
Craig began subcontracting in the late 80s, predominantly working on Telstra upgrades, then servicing and repairing Blanco appliances and installations for volume home builders including Simonds Homes. Following the establishment of Ware Solutions, Craig continued his involvement with installations for volume home builders and expanded into installations for apartment buildings, schools and gyms predominantly in the Keilor East area.
Craig is a huge advocate for employing and training electrical apprentices. “Without apprentices, businesses can’t achieve their full potential. Apprentices are the future of the electrical industry and I feel that I share some of the responsibility to train them to be the best they can be”. Craig took on his first apprentice in the early 2000s, with Matthew Flaherty joining the team. Together they continued to grow Ware Solutions to the point where another apprentice was required only a handful of years later. Rob Graham joined the team and over the ensuing years they formed an incredibly tight-knit unit.

Having first opened a Middy’s account in 2003, the relationship between Middy’s Keilor East and Ware Solutions has grown steadily over time, to the point where the Keilor East branch is their most frequented wholesaler and a business they place a lot of trust in. When asked what it was that drew them to Middy’s, the team spoke of Middy’s excellent delivery, high customer service standards and the ability to assist with project requirements. Middy’s Keilor East Manager, Nikola Novacevski made mention of how well respected Ware Solutions are in the industry and that he and the wider Middy’s team have greatly valued the relationship built between both businesses.
After leading Ware Solutions for the last 30 years, Craig has decided to wind down his involvement and will slowly transition out of the business. This will allow him to spend more time with his wife and three sons, play a little golf and get down to watch the local footy, which he had sponsored for many years. However, it won’t all be leisure time as he is set to work on his own, which will be a nice change of pace.
In what can only be described as a feel-good story, both Matt and Rob will continue their involvement in the business as equal share owners. Having worked for Ware Solutions for 19 years and 14 years respectively, Craig is supremely confident in handing over the reins, as both possess fantastic knowledge of the business, their customer base and what is required to run a successful business. He has known for a very long time that they are both capable, and that it wasn’t a matter of if, but when, and now is the right time.
Both Matt and Rob are focused on continuing to offer their customers excellent service and long-term hope to diversify the business and explore opportunities in automation. Of late they have completed some huge jobs, including a complete lighting changeover to LED lighting at Templestowe Park Primary and large-scale solar installations with some assistance from Middy’s TechEnergy.
From all at Middy’s, we wish Craig the best with his next endeavours and we look forward to continuing to grow the relationship with Matt and Rob at Ware Solutions.
