Bryce Fullwood & BJR – 2025 Perth SuperSprint Race Weekend Report

Qualifying Performances

At the 2025 Perth SuperSprint, Bryce Fullwood led the way for BJR with a highly consistent qualifying effort. He placed P9 in both early sessions, showing solid pace and maximising the car’s setup with engineer Phil. Later in the weekend, he advanced further by qualifying P5 and securing a spot in the Top Ten Shootout, despite having no green tyres left—a testament to his ability to extract performance from the car under pressure.

Teammate Overview:

  • Jaxon Evans: Managed P19 and P13 early on, but a curb strike cost him in the final session, dropping him to P25.
  • Andre Heimgartner: Dealt with balance issues and a suspected steering rack fault from Race 15, qualifying P20/P20 and then P22.
  • Macauley Jones: Continued to experience push and snap oversteer, qualifying P21/P22 and P21.

Race 14 Recap

Bryce delivered a strong opening to the Perth round with a clean and composed drive to finish P8, improving on his starting spot. A two-tyre strategy served him well, and he reported satisfaction with the setup—solidifying his role as BJR’s weekend leader.

Other Team's Results:

  • Jaxon Evans stayed close to his grid spot, finishing P18.
  • Andre Heimgartner, on a four tyre strategy ended up in P21.
  • Macauley Jones followed closely behind in P22.

Race 15 brought setbacks for the team. Bryce had a poor start, losing ground early, but salvaged the run by pitting late for tyres and climbing back to P13. It was a gritty fightback from deep in the pack.

Elsewhere:

  • Jaxon was tracking well early but suffered a DNF after losing a wheel post pit-stop.
  • Andre was hit at Turn 1 by Aaron Cameron, damaging his steering and relegating him to P22.
  • Macca struggled to make progress and finished P20 in a largely processional race for him.

Race 16 Recap

The final race at Perth SuperSprint delivered mixed fortunes. Bryce locked a brake and ran off-track, picking up dirt in the radiator that caused overheating. He had to pit to blow it out, losing a lap in the process and ending P20. A frustrating conclusion to what had been a promising weekend.

Meanwhile, the other BJR cars impressed:

  • Andre drove from the back to finish P10, one of the best recovery drives of the weekend.
  • Jaxon also fought through the field to place P12.
  • Macca had his best race of the round, crossing the line P13 and showing improved pace.

Summary

The 2025 Perth SuperSprint saw Bryce Fullwood consistently lead BJR’s charge. A Top 5 qualifying, a P8 finish in Race 14, and gritty performances throughout underlined his strong form. While Race 16 ended on a sour note, his pace and poise were clear.

For the rest of the BJR squad, early struggles gave way to a much stronger showing in the final race. All three—Andre, Jaxon, and Macca—moved significantly forward on Sunday, suggesting that the team made meaningful progress with setup and strategy. BJR leaves Perth with plenty of data and optimism heading into the next round of the 2025 Supercars Championship
