Middy’s Apprentice of the Year Awards
The Middy’s Apprentice of the Year Awards recognise the outstanding achievements of individuals undergoing their apprenticeship while encouraging continued excellence in the electrical industry.
Please note, only applicants registered to the Middy's Apprentice Program can apply.
The Middy’s Apprentice of the Year Awards recognise individuals undertaking an apprenticeship who have been outstanding in all aspects of their training. Winners receive prize money to use to boost their careers with the purchase of tools and/or training which is redeemable through Middy’s and recognised training providers.
Awards
Winners will receive prize money to spend on tools and training to help boost their careers and gain industry recognition.
- Hugh Middendorp Award: $5,000 Cash Card Hugh Middendorp Apprentice of the Year Winner
- Regional Winners: 11 x $500 Cash Card Regional Winners
- TAFE Award: 1 x $5,000 Tools for National Winning TAFE
Applications Open on Monday 3rd August 2026
Winners will be announced on 9th November 2026
- Applicants must be registered in the Middy's Apprentice Program to apply.
- Applicants must have commenced an apprenticeship and must not have completed an apprenticeship more than 6 months prior to their application.
- Previous winners are ineligible to apply again.
