Middy’s RECYCABLE Program – Now Live at 3 Branches!

Middy’s has teamed up with JR Hammer, experts in responsible recycling, to launch our cable recycling program, Recycable. Together, we’re making sure valuable materials like copper, aluminium, and PVC are recovered and reused — keeping them in the loop and out of the tip. 

Recycable is Middy’s newest ESG sustainability initiative to help increase recycling and reduce the impact on the environment and position Middy’s as an environmentally responsible industry leader.Through Recycable Middy’s will help customers turn scrap cable and electrical waste into store credits - all while promoting environmentally responsible practices. 

The program will initially be pilot launched at the following three participating branches: 

• Middy’s Pakenham
• Middy’s Ravenhall
• Middy’s Port Melbourne 

How Recycable works in 3 Easy Steps: 

1. Customers collect recyclable waste using Middy’s-provided bags (available at the counter at participating branches). 
2. Customers drop off bag at any participating branch. (For job sites, we can also backload during deliveries). 
3. Customer receives Middy’s store credits and a Green Recycling Certificate. 

Why It Matters 

• Reduces landfill waste (over 90% of materials are recycled) 
• Replaces risky, untracked scrap payouts with store credit 
• Helps customers meet ESG goals with Green Certificates
