Middy's engage in a variety of activities to help raise funds for BCNA. These include our Ladies' Luncheons, Pink Bun Morning Teas and our annual Pink Tradie Campaign.
The Middy's Ladies' Luncheon events are all about bringing ladies together to raise money for Breast Cancer Network Australia (BCNA) and assist in supporting BCNA’s efforts to help Australians receive the very best care, treatment and support.
This year, to date we have held three Ladies' Luncheons in different Victorian regions. We have seen a wonderful attendance for our Mekolec Port Melbourne Ladies' Luncheon which was held at Eureka Tower on 1 April. with over 80 guests attending this highly successful event. Also, a big shout out to the 65+ guests who attended the Middy's Yarra Valley Ladies' Luncheon on Friday 13 May at the picturesque De Bortoli Vineyard and the 100 + Middy’s customers and employees at the North West Suburbs event at the stunning Marnong Estate Winery in Mickleham on Friday 27 May.
Our team at Middy's wanted to bring everyone together to enjoy a beautiful lunch, have some fun and continue to help raise awareness and support for BCNA by doing our bit to raise funds for its continued support of over 200,000 women and 200 men that are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. The aim of our luncheons and partnership with BCNA is to further promote risk factors and develop new ways to treat and monitor breast cancer; to help improve quality of life for breast cancer patients, develop treatment outcomes and ultimately save more lives.
A special thank you to the Middy’s Ladies' Day Team, our Regional Sales Managers and Branch Managers as well as our key suppliers Hager, Legrand, Nexans Olex, NHP, Omega, Pierlite, SAL Lighting, Schneider Electric and Trader who were all involved in making these events such a success.
With our Ladies' Day Luncheons plus our BCNA Pink Bun Morning Tea, we have raised $29,000 so far this year. The Middendorp family have generously agreed to match the amount raised and continue to show their fantastic support to every single Ladies' Day.
Pink Tradie Campaign
As proud partner of Breast Cancer Network Australia’s 2022 Pink Tradie Campaign, Middy’s will be calling on tradies to join us in supporting Pink Tradie. During August we put out the call to our customers to get involved by visiting their local branch, ask for a Middy’s Pink Tradie Beanie and donate to BCNA. Wear your Middy’s Pink Tradie Beanie to work in support of the 20,000 Australians anticipated to be diagnosed with breast cancer this year. It's super easy and fun to get involved. By simply snapping a photo in your Middy’s Pink Tradie Beanie, following @middyselectrical on Instagram and posting a pic to your socials using #BCNAPinkTradie you'll be in the running to WIN a Middy's Electrical $500 Voucher. Thanks to everyone that got on board and donated last year which saw us raise $10,000.
